ABOUT
Rooted in Africa. Built for the mission.
Stractiv8 is a Pan-African house, not simply an agency. We started because access to technology and communication shouldn’t be a luxury — and because too much of the sector’s digital spend was leaving the continent.
OUR STORY
Where this came from

Stractiv8 was founded by Lethumusa Kulube — a change agent and professional disruptor — after years of watching good organisations pay twice: once for a strategy deck, and again for the technical work nobody had scoped.
It exists because the gap between what the sector needs and what it can buy keeps widening. Decision makers, non-profits and funders were being sold enterprise thinking at enterprise prices, or volunteers at volunteer reliability. Neither builds anything that lasts.
We serve the institutions doing work that matters on this continent: NGOs, development agencies, governments, universities and foundations — and the small teams inside them who carry far more than their headcount suggests.
The three offerings grew in that order. Agency came first, because the briefs were about positioning and voice. Technical Services followed, because the strategy kept failing on infrastructure nobody owned. Community Learning came last and matters most, because the only real exit from dependency is capability that stays in the building.
The vision is a house that makes itself less necessary — where the continent’s institutions run their own systems, tell their own stories and train the next team themselves.
Access to technology and communication shouldn’t be a luxury.

THE COMPASS
Three principles, held in public.
01
Impact over revenue
We take the brief that moves something, not the brief that pays most. Where those are the same brief, good.
02
People over boards
The test of a project is whether it changed anything for the people it named, not whether it presented well.
03
Collaboration over competition
We bring in other practitioners, and we hand work on. A closed house helps nobody on this continent.

The wider network
Beyond the core team, Stractiv8 works with a standing group of associates across the continent — facilitators, developers, researchers, translators and photographers. We bring them in by name on the proposal, not as anonymous capacity, and we say who did what in the case study.

SERVICE STANDARDS
Five standards, on every brief.
These apply whether the work is a continental campaign or a single mailbox migration.
01
Reliable
What we commit to is what happens. Dates, scopes and costs hold.
02
Accessible
Everything we build can be used by everyone who needs it — that is a requirement, not a phase.
03
Valuable
Every line on an invoice maps to something you can point at afterwards.
04
Efficient
We use what you already own before we recommend buying anything.
05
Responsive
You get a human answer inside two working days, including the honest no.
